The National Association of REALTORS® requires that all REALTORS® complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time within four-year cycles. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.
Training may be completed through local REALTOR® associations or through another method, such as home study, correspondence, classroom courses, or online courses.

Options for completing your Code of Ethics requirement
MORR offers Code of Ethics – Our Promise of Professionalism. This class will be held once a month from February – November. Classes will be held at both our Tinton Falls and Manasquan locations. This class will also qualify for NJREC Continuing Education – 2 Hours Ethics Core and 1 Hour Core. Visit our Calendar for a list of upcoming Code of Ethics classes being taught by MCAR.

New Jersey Continuing Education
In order to qualify for renewal or to reinstate an unrenewed license after that date, every individual licensed as a broker, broker-salesperson or salesperson must complete 12 hours of continuing education.

12 Credit Hours per 2 year licensing period. 2 Credit Hours must be Ethics Training. 4 Credit Hours must be "Core". 6 Credit Hours may be a combination of "Elective" &/or "Core"
Core topic areas are: Ethics; Agency Disclosure; Real Estate Licensee Statutes/Rules; Fair Housing/NJ Law Against Discrimination; Legal Requirements on Escrow Monies and Financial Recordkeeping; Legal Issues
Elective topic areas are: Land Use; Financing; Seasonal Rentals; Real Estate Valuation; Property Management; Commercial Real Estate Property; Foreclosures Short-Sale Transactions; Real Estate Full Disclosure Act/NJ Real Estate Timeshare Act Financing; Specific Aspects of Residential Real Estate Transactions.

2. Log onto the site initially with the ID L (capital L) plus your license reference number (your real estate license number, not your driver's license number for those who are a bit confused)
3. Your initial password is "L", plus your license reference number, plus the last four digits of your social security number

NJREC Continuing Education Rules and Regulations
The NJ Real Estate Commission has approved its rules and regulations to implement continuing education requirements for real estate licensees.
The NJ Real Estate Commission has created a Frequently Asked Questions page on its website on the newly adopted continuing education requirements.
MCAR ACE Campus
The Monmouth Ocean Regional REALTORS® has an ACE (Academy of Continuing Education) Campus on www.njrealtorsace.com. The MORR Campus will host all our Continuing Education classes, so this site is where our members will be able to register for CE courses. On the Campus, you will also be able to view your record, print your transcripts and more.
Log into the ACE Campus with your email address that is on file at NAR and the password Password1 (cap P).
